Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker supports bill to raise age for buying tobacco products

MASSACHUSETTS (NEWS10) – The Massachusetts State Senate will debate a bill next week that would increase the statewide minimum age for buying tobacco products from 18 to 21.

Dozens of towns and cities, including Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge, and Boston have already made the change.

Governor Charlie Baker said he supports the bill, which would also include new regulations for e-cigarettes and ban tobacco sales at healthcare institutions.
