WESTFORD, Mass. (NEWS10) – A Westford, Mass. woman narrowly escaped injury Thursday when a piece of metal went through her windshield while she was traveling.
Just before 5 p.m. Thursday, a Westford woman was traveling on Route 495 when a piece of square metal came through her windshield.
Massachusetts State Police believe the metal either fell off or was kicked up and sent through the air by an unidentified trash truck. The woman was not injured, according to police.
Police want to remind motorists to ensure all loads are properly secured as the incident could have had a fatal outcome.
