EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) – An East Greenbush man is facing charges after being accused of rape.
Jermaine Eley, 28, is accused of driving an 18-year-old acquaintance to his residence on April 7 where the alleged assault took place. The victim was released following the assault and contacted her parents, according to police.
Police said her parents took her to Memorial Hospital and notified police.
Eley was arrested Saturday morning after search warrants were executed at his residence. He was charged with Rape in the First Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree.
He was arraigned and sent to the Rensselaer County Jail pending a court appearance.
