Chatham home health aide accused of stealing over $5,000 from patients

CHATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a woman from Chatham is being accused of stealing from her home health care patients.

Officials say on Monday 38-year-old Allison Arnold Delong was arrested and accused of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

A lengthy investigation beginning in July of 2015 revealed Delong, the owner of Serenity Care, a private home healthcare agency, stole personal information of five of her clients resulting in a total loss of over $5,000.

Police say Delong was arraigned in the Town of Chatham Justice Court and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
