HALFMOON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A 30-year-old was arrested Sunday afternoon for Aggravated Driving while intoxicated.
Troopers were dispatched to a two car property automobile accident on I-87 in the Town of Halfmoon.
During investigations, police found that the driver Kevin Laake was traveling southbound when he switched lanes unsafely and hit another car.
While speaking to Laake, troopers detected the strong odor of alcohol from his breath.
Police gave Laake standardized field sobriety tests and then he was placed under arrest.
When Laake was transported to the station, he provided a breath sample resulting in a .19% BAC.
Laake was processed and released to a sober third party, to appear in court at a later date.
No one was injured in this accident.
