SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Work continues on the historic Nicholas Building in Schenectady which is in jeopardy of having to come down.
According to Mayor Gary McCarthy crews installed large steel support columns along the side of the building to help improve the structural integrity.
Project engineers toured the building while shoring work continued. The mayor also says that the building is stable and no movement has been detected.
On Friday the historic spot had to be evacuated after the building began shaking.
