EPA: Hoosick Falls ballfields test negative for PFOA

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The ballfields and athletic fields in Hoosick Falls tested negative for PFOA.

In February, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency took soil samples from ball fields and parks along Waterworks Road and throughout the athletic field to determine if there was any contamination in the soil.

The EPA said the levels of PFOA ranged from non-detectable to less than .1 parts per million. The EPA’s action level is at 15 ppm.

As a result, there is no need for cleanup work at any of the sample areas.
