TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say approximately 100 friends and co-workers, along with representatives of other law enforcement agencies gathered to salute Sgt. Shane Holcomb on his final day at the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.
Sgt. Holcomb is retiring after 22 years of service to the citizens of Rensselaer County. Sgt. Holcomb was the supervisor of the investigations unit and was instrumental in developing solid cases for prosecution.
“Shane was a solid cop, who brought both compassion and dedication to his work. He was always willing to assist others and share his knowledge. I will miss him on both a personal and professional level,” The department said.
