TROY, NY (NEWS10) – 35-year-old Anton Gumbs was arraigned in Rensselaer County Court on a four count indictment for allegedly robbing DeMeo’s Wine and Liquor Store in Troy.
Gumbs was charged with two counts of Robbery in the First Degree, a Class B felony, one count of Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree, a class B felony, and one count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony.
Gumbs is accused of entering DeMeo’s just before the store was set to close at 9 p.m. on February 27, 2016.
After Gumbs shopped around for a few minutes, he pulled out a gun and held it to the owner’s head demanding money. Gumbs made off with around $6,000 during the robbery.
Gumbs was apprehended by Troy Police on March 9, 2016.
