Troopers arrest Johnsonville man accused of having sexual relationship with young teen

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Troopers say a man is accused of raping a young girl and having inappropriate sexual contact with girls 14-years of age and under.

Police say they arrested 21-year-old David Forhan of Johnsonville on Saturday on multiple charges stemming from inappropriate sexual contact with girls 14 and below.

Police say he was charged with Rape in the second degree and Disseminating Indecent Materials to Minors in the first degree, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Sex Abuse in the third degree, and Sexual Misconduct.

Police say the arrest comes after an investigation conducted by the State Police and the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s office.

The charges stem from a complaint that Forhan was in a sexual relationship with a young girl, and messages that he was sending related to the sexual contact. Forhan was arraigned in the Town of Pittstown Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of bail.

Anyone with information regarding this case or Forhan is encouraged to contact the State Police at (518) 279-4427.
