ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — It’s time to work off the weekend.
On Monday we are trying new exercises to help people see results. NEWS10 ABC’s Heather Kovar joins us from CrossFit Beyond In Albany.
We are working to build our upper body strength.
Joy Smolinski is the owner and head trainer at CrossFit Beyond in Albany. She has some ways to get us there so we can climb the rope. You have to have goals, right?
You lie down, then start climbing, learning how to pull your body up which is a functional movement in CrossFit.
They also work with teens and kids.
“We believe that starting with the younger group is important to build health and fitness into their lives. So we have a teen night every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.,” said Joy Smolinski, owner of Head Trainer CrossFit Beyond.
In the summer time they have a free program on Wednesday nights and last year they reached 500 kids; teaching them about health and fitness. It’s specially intended to people who otherwise don’t have a place to get together and work out and learn about the role of fitness.
