QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – An Adirondack Thunder hockey player was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop.
Around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, New York State Police observed Quinn Smith, 24, fail to stop for a red traffic signal at the bottom of the Exit 18 off ramp on I-87. Police said he continued to drift into the center turn lane on Main Street.
Troopers stopped his vehicle, and police said Quinn was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for DWI and provided a breath sample at the Queensbury barrack where he registered a blood alcohol content of .17 percent.
Smith was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Queensbury Court on March 28.
