Police search for suspected bubblegum bandits at Market Bistro in Colonie

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Colonie Police are trying to identify the suspects in these photos to several grand larcenies of chewing gum from the Market Bistro at 873 Loudon Road.

Police say there have been two successful and one attempted grand larcenies in March. They say the suspect puts the items in a large plastic bag in a shopping cart and walks out of the store. The three crimes profiled below were committed by Suspect #1.

They say on a previous occasion Suspect#2 was observed with Suspect#1, but no larceny was reported. There are no charges pending for Suspect #2, but his identity may assist in the investigation into Suspect #1.

1) Thursday, 3/3/16 @ 4:17 p.m. $1,356 worth of chewing gum.

2) Thursday, 3/10/16 @ 8:21 a.m. $1,695.07 worth of chewing gum, batteries, baby formula and deodorant.

3) Tuesday, 3/15/16 @ 7:14 a.m. $1,060 worth of chewing gum. Property recovered after suspect confronted by employees.

Suspect #1 is described as an unknown race male, medium complexion, 30-years-old, 5’10” to 6’00”, 180 pounds, dark hair and facial hair.

Suspect#2 is described as an unknown race male, medium complexion, average height, slim build, dark hair and facial hair.
