Additional charges for Albany student teacher who sent inappropriate messages to minors

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The continued investigation into Christopher Suk-Bin Brennan has led to additional charges being filed Friday afternoon.

Brennan turned himself in Friday with his attorney.

The investigation identified a 14-year-old Colonie female who received the initial Instagram message from Brennan and did reply with a photo of herself. Brennan engaged the 14-year-old in further online communication in an attempt to have her send more revealing photos, including photos depicting a sexual act.

Brennan was charged with the Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance (felony) and Disseminating Indecent Materials to a Minor in the First Degree (felony).

Brennan was arraigned Friday afternoon in Colonie Justice Court and remanded to Albany County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 6.

The ongoing efforts to identify the other recovered photos and continued computer forensic exam of Brennan’s cell phone and laptop may lead to more charges.

Colonie Police continues to urge anyone who has information regarding Brennan’s first Instagram message and if you may have been a victim to give them a call.
