ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials have identified the body that was recovered from the Hudson River on Wednesday.
The body was identified as Matthew Labounty, who went missing on Christmas Day 2015.
There are no signs of foul play, according to police.
The 21-year-old was last seen around 2 a.m. December 25 in the area of Adams and 5th Street in Troy. He was possibly seen heading in the direction of the Menands Bridge.
Wednesday morning, crews were at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch to recover a body that had washed ashore.
