AHS referendum might have a re-vote in March

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — There could be a third vote on the plans to renovate Albany high school.

As of now, the state board has put construction on hold until they rule on an appeal to the February results.

The scaled down multi-million-dollar referendum barely passed, after the original plan failed in November, but several people filed suit citing confusion, long lines and a shortage of ballots during the February vote.

An attorney for the school district expects a decision on a possible re-vote by the end of the March.
