ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) – Vermont state police say a man is dead after his car crashed into a tree in St. Johnsbury.
Authorities say 22-year-old Peter Lavoie of Concord, Vermont, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4 a.m. crash on Severance Hill Road on Saturday.
Police say Lavoie was travelling south when his vehicle went off the side of the road and into a tree. He was the only person in the car. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
