TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Early Sunday morning the eastbound lane of Campbell Avenue collapsed.
City officials believe the collapse is associated with a partial collapse of the sewer line at that exact location.
The area of the incident has been taped off and traffic has been rerouted at Sherman Ave., and westbound traffic will be rerouted at Donegal Ave.
Drivers are being asked to find alternate routes.
According to Council President Carmella Mantello businesses on Campbell Ave. are still open.
Monday morning,the city will conduct a camera inspection of the sewer line to the check the area if the collapse.
The inspection is to help determine how much work needs to be done.
