Schenectady to save over one million dollars by selling refunding bonds

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Mayor Gary McCarthy says Schenectady will save more than $1,800,000 over the next fifteen years as a result of the recent sale of refunding bonds.

The city is poised for a promising future of strong growth with increased revenue driven by the Mohawk Harbor Development and the coming tourism generated by the casino.

Last year Schenectady received the best possible rating in their fiscal stress test by the State Comptroller’s office.
