Police: Troy man arrested for stealing vacuum, lamp and carpet cleaner from Walmart

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – State Police in Brunswick say they arrested a man who allegedly stole a vacuum, carpet cleaner and a lamp from Walmart.

Authorities say last week they arrested 47 year-old Wayne Owens of Troy for Petit Larceny for stealing merchandise from the Brunswick Walmart.

They say on February 8 a Trooper responded to Walmart for a report of an unidentified man taking a Bissell Vacuum, carpet cleaner, and a lamp from the store without paying for them. The items were valued at over $300.

Troopers identified the owner of a car that the suspect used which lead them to Owens.

He was contacted and turned himself in at the Brunswick barracks. He’s expected in the Town of  Brunswick Court on a later date.
