LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Community support for the sole survivor of an apparent murder-suicide in Latham continues to grow.
Memorial services were held for Deborah and Nathan Roman Tuesday after police say Colonie Officer Israel Roman killed them both before turning the gun on himself. 15-year-old Noah Roman was not at home at the time of the tragic incident. Since then, several fundraisers have been set up to help the teenager.
Last week $55,000 was raised at a bowling event. Now, a charity dance has been set up in East Greenbush in April called ‘Dancing for Noah.’
It takes place at the Columbia High School on Luther Road, April 9 at 4:00 pm.
All proceeds will benefit the Noah Roman Colonie PBA Fund.
