Firefighters in Pittstown battle house fire in cold weather

PITTSTOWN, NY (NEWS10) – Firefighters in Pittstown were out in the cold Saturday morning fighting a house fire.

Around 9:30 a.m., homeowners on Groveside Road heard a crackling sound in the walls and saw smoke in the attic.

Ten fire departments responded to the scene because of the freezing temperatures and the strength of the fire.

While trying to battle the fire, first responders had to make sure their trucks didn’t freeze.

No injuries were reported.
