Man crashes Freight train trailer into overpass

GLENVILLE, NY (NEWS10) – Glenville Police are investigating a property damage accident that occurred early Thursday morning at the intersection of Glenridge Road and Hetcheltown Road.

The driver of a 2006 Freight liner struck the train overpass and caused a lot of damage to his trailer. The trailer was towed from the scene.

41-year-old Alex Thompson of Georgia was cited for Failing to obey a traffic control device because he did not follow the posted signs that signaled the bridge clearance height.

Thompson will answer to the charge in Glenville Town Court on February 18th.

No injuries were reported in this incident and the Canadian Pacific Railroad plus the NYS DOT responded to help out.
