CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — This Sunday is the center for disability services telethon on Fox23.
We introduce a young family that never thought they would need the center.
This Clifton Park family enjoys every minute with their newborn, Tayjaz.
Every little smile or even a simple movement is sheer delight for these first-time parents.
It is hard to imagine that when he was born a little over 3 months ago, they thought their whole world was shattered.
They never expected Tayjaz to have the Down’s Syndrome diagnosis. Suddenly their world was chaotic. Hospitals, doctors, and frightening-sounding medical terms.
Like so many families in the Capital Region, they never thought they would need the Center for Disability Services but life can change very quickly, and the Center is always there, ready to help.
Namita Modasra from the AIM High Resource Center, a division of the Center for Disability Services, went right to the hospital with information and resources. But even more valuable was the support she provided this young family.
