ESPERANCE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Multiple crews were called in to battle a house fire in Schoharie County overnight in the town of Esperance.
The home located on Route 30 just north of shunpike road.
Everyone got out of the home safely, including the pets but the home is a total loss.
The Fire Chief says the hardest about this fire was getting enough water to fight the flames.
“The water supply. Water supply was the worst…we ran out of water at the pond. So we had to regroup and call some tankers in to establish the water supply,” said the Chief.
Some of the trucks were making runs to and from a nearby pond to keep tankers loaded.
The Red Cross will be assisting the people that live there.
