ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Three people have been charged after police responded to a shots fired call in Albany Wednesday afternoon.
Around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the area of Judson Street and Third Street for a report of shots fired. Officers located evidence consistent with gunshots, including a home on Judson Street that sustained damage.
Police then received information that a potential suspect may have entered a home on the 300-block of Third Street and refused to come out.
A tactical team responded, and members of the police department made entry into the home.
Three suspects were located at the residence and taken into custody. A loaded .40 caliber handgun was also recovered from the home.
Michael Myrick, 17, Malayasia Saunders, 17, and George Blunt, 18, were each charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.
They were arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court. Bail was set at $1,500 for all three suspects.
