Albany Police: Arrest made in Hudson Avenue shots fired incident

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a 19-year-old Albany man has been charged in connection with an incident of shots fired that occurred on Hudson Avenue.

Authorities say Nyguel Willams was arrested following an investigation by members of the Albany Police Department.

On Sunday, January 17 at approximately 2:00 a.m., police say Williams fired several shots from a long arm rifle towards a group of people who were standing on the 400 block of Hudson Avenue near Ontario Street.

No injuries were reported during the incident, but several homes and an unoccupied vehicle parked on the street all sustained damage.

A .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle was also recovered during the investigation.

Officials say Williams has been charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd. He was arraigned in the City of Albany Criminal Court where bail was set at $1,500.
