Police: Ambulance on duty gets side-swiped, rolls over in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Albany Police say an ambulance from Five Quad was traveling south on Manning with its sirens on when it was side-swiped by a car traveling east on Western Ave., causing the ambulance to rollover.

Officials say seven people in total have minor injuries: Five medical personnel and one patient inside the ambulance. The driver who hit the ambulance was also injured.

Police say the driver has been ticketed for failure to yield to emergency vehicle.
