Officials: Two accused of robbing assisted living homes in Saratoga County

MILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Authorities say two managed assisted living group homes were robbed earlier this month, and police have accused two people of performing the acts.

Officials say Lehan Allen and James Petrone Jr. are being accused of  breaking open a petty cash and drug box from a facility. A similar complaint came from a resident in the Town of Ballston where the rear door was kicked and damaged, but no access gained.

The incidents were narrowed down to occurring between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Ballston Spa Police say it was discovered they had an incident, identical to their reports, in the Village where a group home was entered and cash and drugs removed.

Authorities say a joint investigation led to the identification of former employee, Lehan Allen. Allen was in the company of her boyfriend James Petrone Jr. when the crimes were committed and Petrone actively participated.

Officials say both were arrested for Burgalry and Criminal Mischief and arraigned in court. Bail was set for on Petrone at $500 cash and Allen was placed on Saratoga County Pre-Trial Services through the Probation Department.

They will return to court on a later date.
