SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Mayor Patrick Madden announced Saturday that the Troy Department of Public Works has fully restored water flow to the towns of Waterford and Halfmoon.
“As a result of a coordinated effort between Troy Department of Public Utilities and Halfmoon and Waterford water departments, I am happy to announce that water services have been fully restored to both communities. “I would like to thank Supervisor Tollisen, Supervisor Lawler and the residents of Halfmoon and Waterford for their patience and understanding they exhibited throughout repair operations. We will continue to monitor the system throughout the weekend and anticipate continuing our productive relationship with the towns of Halfmoon and Waterford”, said Mayor Madden.
Troy residents are reminded that a citywide water restriction continues to remain in effect. City officials are still advising people to continue to save water at this time and limit usage to just essential needs only.
A limited boil-water advisory has been issued for selected residents and businesses in the City of Troy.
People who are affected by the boil-water advisory were called and notified by the Department of Public Works on Friday and Saturday. Residents who have not been contacted are not affected by the advisory.
