Storm leaves 2,596 customers without power on Long Island

NEW YORK (AP) — The massive snowstorm blanketing the East Coast has left thousands of Long Island residents without power.

PSEG Long Island says outages are affecting 2,596 of its 1.1 million customers across Long Island and the Rockaways as of Saturday afternoon.

The utility says it has restored service to more than 18,000 customers affected by the storm.
