NEW YORK (AP) — New York City’s major museums have closed early as a massive storm buries the region in snow.
The American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim and the Brooklyn Museum all closed at 3 p.m. or earlier Saturday.
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian was closed all day.
Public libraries were closed across New York City on Saturday and Broadway shows were canceled.
The closings were announced as officials banned non-emergency vehicles from traveling on the city’s roads.
