Workers to share their stories about living on minimum wage

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Workers earning less than $15 an hour will join economists, labor leaders and community groups to deliver testimony to a senate labor committee.

This testimony is happening ahead of a state Senate hearing on the minimum wage.

They’re calling on Senate Republicans to pass a $15 minimum wage proposal backed by Governor Cuomo that would eliminate poverty wages and boost the economy for everyone in New York state.

A press conference will be taking place Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. outside of Hearing Room A at the Legislative Office Building.
