Bill signed due to Kenneth White’s death

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A bill was just signed into law last month to make sure that a similar tragedy cannot happen to someone else.

Named after the boy, “Kenneth’s Law” now allows child protective service records to be handed over any time police investigate a missing child case or if a family member believes a child is being abused.

The bill was signed into law November 23rd, the day before Van Alstyne pleaded guilty to killing the boy.

She will be sentenced next month.
