RPI freshman hockey player recognized for consecutive goals

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A standout series over the weekend put RPI freshman Jesper Ohrvall on the map.

The forward scored the first three goals of his collegiate career in a pair of wins over Arizona State, two on Friday, another tally on Saturday. His production during the series sweep turned some heads in the league, and Tuesday he was named the ECAC rookie of the week.

His nine shots on goal were the most in the conference and helped the Engineers head into the holiday break on a three-game unbeaten streak.
