CANASTOTA, N.Y. (AP) – Authorities say they’ve charged three teenagers with selling a stolen handgun on the ground of an elementary school in central New York.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says the charges against a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, both from Canastota, and a 14-year-old from nearby Chittenango include criminal sale of a firearm.
Deputies say the three teens sold a stolen .38-caliber handgun on the grounds of South Side Elementary School in Canastota, 20 miles east of Syracuse.
Officials say the 17-year-old is accused of working directly with the 14-year-old boy to sell the gun.
