MIAMI (NEWS10) – The Giants are still in the playoff hunt after a big win over Miami Monday night.
Eli Manning went 27-for-31 racking up 337 yards and four touchdowns in the win. His 87% completion percentage was a career high and his passer rating of 151.5 was his best in six years.
It helps to have Odell Beckham; junior as a target. His 84-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter was the deciding score in the game.
With their backs against the wall, this was a huge win.
They snapped a three-game skid and forged a three-way tie atop the NFC East.
“You know, it was a big win also just for the fact it came to the fourth quarter and we had to make some plays and we had a drive there at the end where we had to get some first downs to keep the ball and we did that,” said Eli manning.
Which they hadn’t been able to do before.
So the Giants are now 6 and 7, tied atop the NFC East with the Eagles and Redskins with three games left in the regular season.
The division winner will get an automatic berth into the playoffs, but when you take a look at their remaining schedules, it’s clear to see the Giants have the toughest road ahead.
Big Blue welcomes the unbeaten Carolina Panthers to town next week before heading to 8 and 5 Minnesota.
Of the three contenders, the Redskins have the easiest path to the postseason.
