COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Police are asking for your help in finding a Colonie woman who seems to have simply vanished.
It’s all about what police say they didn’t find: Blood on the floor, and no sign of Patrice Zimmerman OR her vehicle.
Colonie Police say they were alerted to a problem by Patrice’s husband, who’s been out of town for work. He told them-he last spoke with his wife by phone around 7 p.m. Sunday night and everything seemed fine. It was when Patrice didn’t answer the phone Monday morning that he became concerned.
“He asked us to check the house. We were able to get into the house with his assistance. The house was all secured; the alarm was set,” said police.
Inside the Sutherland Drive home, officers found no sign of Patrice or her Honda CRV, but Lt. Bob Winn says his officers did find something…and it was alarming.
“What’s troubling to us is that a small amount of blood found in the house on the stairwell that does appear consistent with a fall…and she may be injured,” said Lt. Winn.
Zimmerman is described as a white female, 5’3″, 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Her vehicle is a white 2012 Honda CRV 4-door. It has a black roof rack and NY license plate ANL2954.
Patrice’s family members tell police it’s out of character for her to simply take off without notifying anyone.
Colonie police say they’ve checked all the places Patrice was known to frequently go to and there was no sign of her.
Colonie Police are posted outside the house.
If you have any information on where Patrice Zimmerman is you’re asked to call Colonie Police.
