COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Colonie Police Department says a woman was hit by a car Thursday evening on Route 9.
Police say the accident happened at 6:17 p.m. on Loudon Road. They say a pedestrian was struck when crossing the road near the Speedway Gas Station at 951 Loudon Road.
The pedestrian, 35-year-old Veronica Gray of Watervliet was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where she is being treated for serious injuries.
No injuries were reported to the driver, who is being identified as 57-year-old Darren Broder of East Greenbush
Police say Speed and alcohol were not a factor in this crash and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
