LIVINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) – We have learned that the man accused of stabbing his estranged wife was arraigned overnight.
This information was confirmed with a Sergeant at Columbia County Jail.
David Agan Jr. was arraigned overnight in the town of Livingston and was charged with murder.
Police say yesterday afternoon he walked inside the Valatie medical arts building and stabbed his estranged wife, 37 year old Christina Agan, killing her. A short time later police stopped him on Route 4 in the town of East Greenbush.
Police say Agan was having trouble driving and that there was a bit of a struggle with him as they took him into custody. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Agan was arraigned around 2 a.m. and charged with murder.
State Police tell me the two have 8-year-old triplets together and a 15-year-old son. The children I’m told are now staying with family.
Agan is being held in Columbia County Jail without bail.
