TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say there was a shooting in the City on Monday night.
According to authorities, the crime happened in the area of the South Troy Deli & Grocery, 528 2nd Street at 6:23 p.m.
Reports say that a 33-year-old male was in front of the store, shots were heard and the male ran into the store with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was treated and transported by Troy Fire Department to Albany Medical Center Hospital where he currently is admitted.
Police say the victim sustained multiple shots to his body, but was alert during treatment. There is no current condition at this time.
The victim has family in the Troy area, but it’s believed that he is from New York City. A vehicle was secured at the scene and taken to the Troy Police Station for further processing.
There are no suspects at this time and police say the victim has been somewhat uncooperative regarding the investigation.
