ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Albany lawmakers are running out of time to pass the city’s budget for next year.
Tuesday is the deadline for the spending plan. A special meeting is planned for the common council to vote on the $180.6 million plan. A big part of that remains contingent on a $12.4 million chunk of state funding that so far Governor Cuomo has yet to commit to.
There is also a proposal to create a new trash collection fee on small apartment buildings.
