SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Union Hockey Team is amidst a 14-day layoff, but the team spent some of that free time on Tuesday giving back to the community.
The Dutchmen served Thanksgiving dinner at the Schenectady YMCA, meeting some of their supporters.
Low income families, veterans and people with special needs were all welcome to enjoy a full turkey feast. And the Dutchmen were happy to be a part of it!
“Obviously I think anytime we can get the guys together it helps off the ice just kind of building chemistry, being together, having a good time and we’re able to give back and help these people out. It’s awesome,” said Ryan Scarfo, sophomore forward.
