TROY, NY (NEWS 10) – A Troy woman is missing and police are asking for your help in finding out what happened to her.
Police say Noel Alakaramla was last seen leaving work at Verdile’s restaurant in Lansingburgh around 9 p.m. Sunday night and she hasn’t been seen since.
Troy Police tell News 10 they are currently interviewing an employee who worked with Noel at Verdile’s restaurant, and he may have been the last person with her before she vanished.
Friends and family say it is out of character for the 21-year-old to simply take off without anyone knowing where she’s gone.
Security cameras captured Noel leaving Verdile’s on Sunday night just before 9 p.m. at the end of her shift as a hostess.
She is seen turning the corner walking up Second Avenue and then vanishing.
A friend told News 10 that Noel texted her and said she was on her way home, but she never arrived.
The next morning, at the corner of Washington and 4th Streets some items from Noel’s purse were found scattered on the sidewalk, including a utility bill with her address on it.
Her friend told News 10 that it doesn’t make any sense. She made it close to home but ‘that something happened where she could not make it to that apartment.’
So, did Noel make it from Verdile’s to that corner of Washington and 4th where her belongings were found? And who took her there?
Police say they are interviewing a Verdile’s employee who told them he gave Noel a ride. No word on if he has any idea as to where she is.
Noel was last seen wearing black pants, a black blouse, and a tan coat with a fur hood. She is described at 5’1″ and 135 lbs.
