ALBANY, NY (NEWS 10) – Albany County leaders want to hear your opinion regarding a proposal to raise the minimum smoking age.
The proposal would raise the minimum age to buy any tobacco products in Albany County to 21.
Currently you only need to be 18 to buy tobacco.
Backers of the bill claim the proposal is way to prevent under-age smoking.
Tuesday’s public hearing will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the legislative chambers at the Albany County Courthouse.
