ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – A friendly football game was held Sunday to help the community.
Local fire and police departments took the field for the annual “Southside Scramble”.
The game was all in good fun and while the participating departments brought their competitiveness, the game was all in an effort to collect toys for those less fortunate.
Community members were encouraged to come out and watch the game, but also to bring a toy donation for the Marines Toys for Tots program.
While officials did not have an official number, over sixty toys were donated to the program Sunday.
