Burnt Hills girls volleyball wins State Championship in their sixth straight appearance

BURNT HILLS, NY (NEWS10) – One of the most dominating high school teams ever continued its reign Sunday.

The Burnt Hills girls volleyball team was in its sixth straight championship appearance.

In the end, they took down top ranked Walter Panas at the Glens Falls Civic Center to win a State Title. This is Burnt Hills Sixth State Championship in school history and their first since 2012.

Afterwards senior, Natalie Schurman said the emotions of the season and the championships are overwhelming.

“I think it’s both because we knew we had a shot. And so I think the fact that we executed it, especially since the fact that we’re seniors and our whole entire team was just like ‘oh my gosh’… I think it’s just everything all together”, said Schurman, who is a senior on the team.
