UPDATE: Man arraigned in deadly early morning crash

LAKE GEORGE, NY (NEWS 10) – Police are investigating a crash that killed one man Friday morning.

According to Warren County Sheriff Bud York, the victim was arguing with someone when he jumped onto the hood of the car.

Witnesses say that when he landed, the car lurched forward.

The victim is being identified as 38-year-old Christopher Lee Eddy.

Eddy was transported to the Glens Falls Hospital where lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

News 10 spoke with friends of the victim and they tell us that Eddy was a different person when he drank.

Lt. Steven Stockdale confirms they believe alcohol played a role in the events leading up to the death.

The test may reveal HOW 38-year-old Christopher Eddy died, but not exactly WHY.

Warren county Investigators said Eddy and his girlfriend were drinking away the morning hours inside their Mohican Street Apartment. They then got into a booze fueled argument.

Police said Eddy then asked a fellow tenant to play role of arbitrator. Police said Eddy became violent when he found the two inside a Chevy Impala.

“The guy spit on the window and then the guy started walking away. The guy who got run over and then the guy in the car pulled up really quick and stopped in front of him”, said witness Jim Wollaber.

Eddy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver and fellow tenant is said to be 50-year-old Brian Deso. Deso has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in the death of Eddy.

Deso was arraigned and remanded to jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash, $10,000.00 bond for bail.
