NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Several buildings in the Metro Center area were evacuated for a short time Friday after a suspicious package was found behind the Coast Guard headquarters.
Metro police, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Defense were on the scene located on Vantage Way for a few hours.
The building was evacuated after officials at the scene closely examined the package.
Several dozen vehicles were considered in the “danger zone” and owners were kept away during the investigation.
Authorities allowed people to reenter the building just before 1:30 p.m.
