ALBANY, NY(NEWS 10) – An Albany man was sentenced Friday to 25 years to life following a murder conviction in October.
Jarquell Williams was convicted of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
During sentencing the defendants lawyer stated that he was told that his client couldn’t be guilty because he wasn’t there.
To this, Judge Breslin said “He may have told you he wasn’t there, but it screams to the contrary.”
On October 16th, 2014 at around 9:40 A.M. in the area of Bassett Street and South Pearl Street in Albany, Williams shot and killed a 25-year-old in the head with a firearm.
